Phillip Leyesa is 29 years old and currently living in Brooklyn, NY.
His design inspiration is heavily influenced by Japanese mending techniques and making something out of seemingly nothing. Being able to envision pieces in a completely different form than what they currently are. He’s constantly finding inspiration in the world around him and he fuses all of this together into the pieces he creates. In the best way possible, his creative process doesn't follow any specific plan. His work ranges from distressing, dyeing, hand-sewing, cut & sewn pieces, and patchwork. He’s worked and collaborated with multiple notable clients including Urban outfitters, Levis, Adidas, Wilson, Nike, StockX, and Bodega.
